Lunar and Martian colonies are thriving, and mining has begun in the asteroid belt. But closer to home, space stations and satellites aren’t the only things orbiting the Earth. Debris fields have reached a critical point, but picking up the trash is always someone else’s job. Now, where duty meets indifference, a single worn-out ship and its ragtag crew is tasked with keeping the space lanes clear – with predictable results.

It’s a tough job, but hey, someone has to take out the trash!

Creative Team

A little older than Sputnik, Gareth is married, with three children, three grandchildren, three dogs, and seven cats. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1974 with one of those “what-the-hell-are-you-going-to-do-with-it degrees.” Fortunately, he had a talent for writing, and spent the next 20-plus years in and out of the advertising and marketing communications field in both ad agencies and “hi-tech” corporations. It was during that time that the seeds of SCOW were planted, but like many such ideas, it went nowhere fast. Until now.
